Optivar is an antihistamine used to treat hay fever and allergic symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, and itchy nose. It is used for the treatment of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis. This includes rhinorrhea, sneezing, and nasal itchiness in adults and children who are 5 years and up. It can also be used in the treatment of vasomotor rhinitis, including symptoms such as rhinorrhea, nasal congestion, and postnasal drip in people 12 years and older.
Indications and contraindications:
Prior to usage of Optivar, you should consult with your doctor to discuss safety issues with the use of the drug. You may also discuss with your doctor if you have been sick or had an infection of any kind. Also tell your doctor if you have glaucoma or cataracts, herpes simplex infection of your eyes, tuberculosis, sores or ulcers in your nose, or have recently had injury or surgery on your nose. Dose and Administration
