Use of alcohol in combination with decongestants is not recommended. Drinking coffee, tea, or other beverages containing caffeine may enhance the stimulant effect of decongestants. Inform your doctor if you have had an allergic reaction or unusual reaction to oxymetazoline or other decongestants. It is recommended that decongestants not be used during pregnancy or by mothers who are breast feeding infants. People with diabetes should use decongestants with caution. Decongestants should be used with caution by people with high blood pressure or heart disease. It may cause blood pressure to rise or an increased heart rate.
