Adults 12 years & older: Take 2 wafers with 8oz of your favorite hot or cold beverage at the first sign of irregularity. Can take up to 3 doses daily if needed or as recommended by a doctor. Generally produces effect in 12-72 hours.Children 6 to under 12 years: One wafer (1/2 of Adult dosage) with 8oz of their favorite beverage, up to 3 doses daily.
Children under 6: Consult a doctor. New users: start with 1 dose daily. If minor bloating occurs when you increase doses, try slightly reducing the amount you are taking. Metamucil Directions:
Put one rounded tablespoon into an empty glass. Fill glass with at least 8 oz. of water or your favorite beverage. Stir briskly and drink promptly. If mixture thicken, add more liquid. Can be taken before or after meals.
