Robax General Information
Robax is used to treat pain and inflammation and is a combination of two medications such as, methocarbamol and ibuprofen. This drug is available in form of caplets/tablets in the market. A white and purple caplet is consisted of: 500mg of methocarbamol combined with 200mg of ibuprofen.
The inactive components used in formation of Robax are: FD&C Blue No2, red ferric oxide, hypromellose, methyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, sodium starch glycolate and sodium lauryl sulfate. Usually a dose of 1 or 2 caplets every 4 to 6 hours is recommended for adults and children over 12 years of age. It is also strictly recommended to consult the doctor before the increasing or decreasing the dosages. Patients who have allergic reactions from methocarbamol or any other ingredients present in the drug should not consume this medication. Patients suffering from stomach ulcers, rhinitis, asthma, hives, anaphylaxis, or other allergic reaction that are resulted by acetylsalicylic acid or any other nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug and patients suffering from kidney disorders should not consume this medication. Consuming any other medicines should be informed to the doctor to avoid further interactions. Robax should be stored at room temperature (in between 15and 30°C).
