How should I use Arlidin?
The recommended dose of Arlidin is 12 mg to 24 mg daily in three or four divided doses for certain types of mental disorders, and 12 mg to 48 mg daily in three to four divided doses for blood vessel disorders of the legs. It is important to use this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Arlidin may take some time before its benefits are seen. This medicine may be taken with or without food. If you miss a dose of Arlidin, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double up on doses.
Many things can affect the dose of Arlidin that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a Arlidin dose different from the ones listed here, do not change the way that you are using the medication without consulting your doctor.
Arlidin tablets should be stored at room temperature and protected from moisture and light.
What form(s) does Arlidin come in?
Arlidin is available as a round, white tablet containing 6 mg Arlidin (Arlidin®) or 12 mg Arlidin (Arlidin Forte®). Nonmedicinal ingredients include cellulose, gelatin, cornstarch, lactose, magnesium stearate, and pregelatinized starch. This product does not contain yeast or gluten.
Who should NOT take Arlidin?
Arlidin should not be used by anyone who:
- is allergic to Arlidin or any of the ingredients
- has suffered a recent heart attack
- has a particular type of abnormal heart rhythm called paroxysmal tachycardia
- has angina that is getting worse
- has the thyroid condition known as thyrotoxicosis
- is suffering from mental disorders that are mainly due to conditions other than insufficient blood flow to the brain

The following Arlidin side effects may go away as your body becomes used to the medicine; check with your doctor if they continue or become bothersome:

- flushing or redness of the face
- headache
- nausea and vomiting
- nervousness
