Active Duodenal Ulcer:The usual dose is 300 milligrams once a day at bedtime, but your doctor may have you take 150 milligrams twice a day. Active Noncancerous Stomach Ulcer:The usual dose is 150 milligrams twice a day or 300 milligrams once a day at bedtime. Maintenance of a Healed Duodenal Ulcer:The usual dose is 150 milligrams once a day at bedtime. If you have moderate to severe kidney disease, your doctor will prescribe a lower dose.
CHILDREN The safety and effectiveness of Axid have not been established in children.
