How should I use Diclectin?
The recommended dose is 2 tablets at bedtime. In severe cases or if nausea or vomiting occurs during the day, add 1 tablet in the morning and 1 tablet mid-afternoon.
Many things can affect the dose of medication that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a dose different from the ones given here, do not change the way that you are taking the medication without consulting your doctor.
It is very important that Diclectin be taken on a regular schedule as prescribed by the doctor. If you miss a dose of Diclectin, take it as soon as you remember it. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and carry on with your regular schedule. Do not double-up on doses.
What form(s) does Diclectin come in?
Each white, coated, delayed-release tablet contains doxylamine 10 mg and pyridoxine 10 mg. Nonmedicinal ingredients include lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium trisilicate, silicon dioxide, and magnesium stearate. Diclectin does not contain tartrazine.
Who should NOT take Diclectin?
People who are allergic to any of the ingredients of Diclectin should not take it.
What side effects are possible with Diclectin?
The Diclectin side effects listed below are not experienced by everyone who takes Diclectin. If you are concerned about side effects, discuss the risks and benefits of Diclectin with your doctor. Your health professional may be able to help you deal with some of the effects.
