Recommended Diflunisal dosage

ADULTS Mild to Moderate Pain

Starting dose is 1,000 milligrams, followed by 500 milligrams every 8 to 12 hours, depending on the individual. Your physician may adjust your dosage according to your age and weight, and the severity of your symptoms.

Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis

The usual dose is 500 to 1,000 milligrams per day in 2 doses of 250 milligrams or 500 milligrams. Use no more than necessary to relieve the pain. The maximum recommended dosage is 1,500 milligrams per day.

CHILDREN Safety and effectiveness of Diflunisal have not been established in children under 12 years of age. The drug is not recommended for this age group.

Diflunisal Overdosage
