Emla Cream is an emulsion that contains 2.5 percent of lidocaine and 2.5 percent of prilocaine. The chemical name of this medication is acetamide, 2-(diethylamino)-N-(2, 6-dimethylphenyl and propanamide, N-(2-methylphenyl)-2-(propylamino).
