Humulin Side Effects
There are several different side effects that can occur in a patient that is using Humulin for the effective management of their blood glucose levels that they should become familiar with and watch out for. To list a some of the insulin allergy warning signs that can be experienced if a patient happens to be allergic to this prescription type of insulin would include a heart rate that is fast, a rash on the skin that can cover the patient's entire body, problems with breathing, sweating, wheezing, or the patient feeling faint, as if they could possibly pass out. If a patient experiences any of these symptoms of an allergic reaction to Humulin, it is important to seek emergency medical attention as soon as possible. There are also symptoms of hypoglycemia that the patient should watch for that include convulsions (seizures), headache, confusion, nausea, concentrating problems, hunger, tremors, confusion, sweating, drowsiness, rapid heartbeat, weakness, blurred vision, and dizziness. There are also some medications that you should tell your physician if you are taking, which can make it hard for a patient to notice the signs that occur with low blood sugar. A few of these medicines would include beta-blockers, albuterol, guanethidine, clonidine, and reserpine.
