How to Take Aciphex
When Aciphex has been prescribed by the physician to prevent damage from stomach acid and the damage that can be done from this acid it is important to take it as the physician has ordered. This is a medication that is normally taken between 4 and 8 weeks in duration and can be prescribed along with an antibiotic in some cases. The physician will determine the daily dosage of Aciphex and how many times per day it will be taken.
There can be a second course of this medication prescribed to take in some cases for the esophagus to heal properly. When taking this medication to treat an H. Pylori infection, the physician can prescribe the Aciphex to be taken with the antibiotic for a seven day period.
This medication comes in tablet form and should not be crushed or chewed when taking it, but should be swallowed whole. Aciphex should be taken with an 8 oz. glass of water and can be taken with or without food. Two dosages should never be taken together, and if dosage is missed it should be taken as soon as remembered unless t is close to the next dosage. The physician will prescribe this medication to be taken until the amount of the prescription is finished. The physician will take into account other medications that are being taken and medical conditions.
