How to Use Salbutamol
Salbutamol should be used exactly as prescribed for you by your doctor. Directions will be printed on your prescription label. Use of this medication should not be changed in any way, including using a larger amount of Salbutamol or increasing the length of time used. Any changes in dosage should be made by your doctor. Standard instructions for both the Albuterol inhaler and the nebulizer devices are available from your health care provider or your pharmacist. Keep Salbutamol on hand at all times. Refill your prescription before you run completely out of medication. If you miss a dose, use the medicine as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with regularly scheduled doses. Do not take extra medication or try in any way to make up for the missed dose. If you inadvertently take an overdose of the medicine, seek immediate emergency medical attention. An overdose of Salbutamol may lead to agitation, chest pains or a heavy sensation in the chest, dry mouth, fainting, headaches, irregular heart rate, nausea, seizures, and sweating. Overdose reactions can often cause pain that spreads to the arm or shoulder. An overdose of Salbutamol can lead to death.
