Casodex General Information
Casodex tablet gets categorized as anti-androgen. It is chemically represented to be: propanamide, N [4 cyano-3-(trifluoromethyl) phenyl]-3-[(4-fluorophenyl) sulfonyl]-2-hydroxy-2-methyl-, (+-). Casodex has molecular weight 430.37. It is a fine off white to white powder. It is not water soluble at 37°C and somewhat soluble into chloroform and methanol soluble. It functions via preventing the actions of male hormones known as androgens. Casodex is blended together with another hormone for the treatment of prostate cancer. Casodex may also be utilized for other purposes as recommended by health care practitioner. The recommended dosage of this medication depends on the physical condition of the patient and as recommended by the medical expert. The Casodex tablet therapy usually used with LHRH analogs is one 50mg tablet once every day. This can be taken with or without food. The medication should be taken at the same time each day. Casodex tablets should be stored between 20°C-25°C (68°F-77°F). Make sure you keep Casodex tablet out of the reach of children. This medication is supplied as film-coated white colored tablets. These are has "CDX50" imprinted on one side. The reverse side of the tablet has the "CASODEX logo". The tablets are supplied in unit dose blisters of 30 tablets in each carton (0310-0705-39). These are also available in bottles of 30 (0310-0705-30) and 100 (0310-0705-10) tablets.
