Side Effects of Seroquel
Even though Seroquel is effective in treating psychotic disorders, it can cause side effects in some patients. Some adverse reactions will be minor while others can be serious, even life-threatening.
Allergic reactions to Seroquel are very possible, requiring immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction will appear as hives, breathing difficulty, and swelling of the face, lips, throat, and tongue.
Several other side effects that are serious and should be reported to your doctor at once include: blurred vision, cold symptoms, confusion, eye pain, fever, fruity breath odor, muscle stiffness, and vomiting.
Minor side effects resulting from the use of Seroquel may include signs such as constipation, dizziness, discharge or swelling in the breasts, dry mouth, increased appetite, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, and weight gain. Although these signs are less serious, if they continue or worsen; contact your doctor.
Other reactions to Seroquel may occur as aggressiveness, anxiety, behavioral changes, depression, hostility, hyperactivity, and restlessness. If you experience any of these symptoms or any feelings of deep depression or suicidal thoughts, call your doctor at once. These are only some of the symptoms resulting from an adverse reaction to Seroquel. If you experience anything that seems out of the ordinary, seek immediate medical help.
