How to Take Protonix
The dosages of Protonix should always be determined and prescribed by a healthcare provider. In case of short-term use, an adult can be given 40 mg of the medication, once in a day for up to 8 weeks. In case of patients having pathological hypersecretory conditions, such as Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome in adults, the usual recommend dosage is 40 mg twice in a day. Protonix is available in form of granules and tablets. Both the granules and tablets come as delayed release form of the medication.
