Sabril General Information
Sabril is found in the form of a white colored granular powder. This medication is meant for oral administration. Every packet of Sabril comes with 500 mg of vigabatrin. This medicine also includes inactive ingredient povidone. The medication gets designated as an antiepileptic drug for oral use.
Its chemical name comes as: (±) 4-amino-5-hexenoic acid. It is described as a racemate and contains 2 enantiomers. C6H11NO2 is vigabatrin’s molecular formula. Vigabatrin’s molecular weight comes as: 129.16.
Sabril is recommended as monotherapy in the pediatric patients for treating infantile spasms or IS in them.
