Sabril Side Effects

Sabril may cause side effects. The side effects are not marked among all the patients under this medication. Some very common side effects associated with Sabril include agitation or excitement in children, fatigue, sleepiness and vision defects. Vision defect is very common with this medication. You must visit your health care provider regularly and get your vision checked during the administration of Sabril.
 Common side effects associated with Sabril include paranoia, thought disturbance, depression, nervousness, agitation, irritability, swelling due to fluid retention in the body, nausea, abdomen pain, twitching of eyeball, needles or pin sensations, tremor, memory difficulties, difficulty in concentration, speech problems, dizziness, headache and weight gain. These side effects are very transient in nature. These side effects usually occur during the initial phase of the medication. With the advancement of the medication these side effects generally stop bothering.  These side effects do not require any immediate medical attention. If these side effects become bothersome or persist for a long time, you must consult your health care provider.

Rare side effects such as abnormal coordination, psychosis, mania and unexplained rash can be observed in few patients taking Sabril. In very rare cases side effects such as hypertonia and dystonia can be seen as the side effects of Sabril.
